Vintage Afternoon Tea

On September 12th Doris and friends organised an amazing vintage afternoon tea in the Chantry Hall, Bedale. Doris had collected dozens of sets of vintage style tea cups, saucers and tea plates to adorn the many tables, all beautifully laid with fresh flowers.

Music, by the Mike Rose Band, accompanied tea service by volunteers and there was a large spectacular display of vintage jewellery.

This brilliant fundraising event raised £606.59. Thank you to Doris, the volunteers and all who attended to make it so worthwhile.

Branch Annual Golf Day 20th July’15

We had a very enjoyable day at Bedale Golf Club on Monday 20th July for our annual fundraising Golf Day.

Luckily the weather held and we were soon welcoming the fourteen teams who took part. Hole sponsorships, tombola and raffle were very well supported and they have raised approximately £2,781. There are still sums to come in so hopefully we may raise over £3k.

We were pleased to welcome Christine Mollard, Mayor of Bedale who came along to present the prizes.

Special thanks to the organising/support team of Doris & John Watson and Ann & Adrian Whitewick and those members and friends who helped on the day.

All the money raised will be put to good use in the branch for the benefit of our members.

Chrissie Grimston (Vice Chair) with Christine Mollard (Mayor of Bedale) and the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Greta Lidster & Ann Headland.

Alverton Brass Concert

We had a really enjoyable night on Friday 22nd April as Alverton Brass gave a fundraising concert for our benefit in the Chantry Hall, Bedale.

They played a wide repertoire of music with four solo spots, to a very high standard, thoroughly enjoyed by the audience.

The concert raised £306.82 for our Branch.

Many thanks to the committee members and friends who helped on the night.
